It's been announced on the PlayStation Blog, that the game is getting a more recognisable single player mode in December. However, if you were one of those players, fret no more. It left a huge gap, and the game certainly hurt a little for it.

No matter what you play you will earn credits (to buy cars), mileage (to buy special rewards and upgrade your cars) and you also have a “daily training” where you have to drive 42 km every real-life day to unlock a random car.Gran Turismo Sport rubbed some players the wrong way when it first hit, as it didn't come with a traditional single-player mode. You need to clear x amount of races in a given league to reach the next higher one.Ĭircuit experience: A breakdown of every single track in the game where you get tips to set best times and you are challenged for each individual sector as well as the whole track.

You ll see how basically, a huge part of the buyers just.did not play.Īs of now you have the following stuff available in singleplayer (keep in mind the game saves online, so you have to connect to the server):ĭriving license tests: Like in previous games a set of challenges to teach you some basic stuff for racing, I believe you can unlock some cars through this.Ĭhallenges: Exactly what the name suggests, some are races, some are time trials, some will have set cars in other you can use your garage cars. If you want a good view of the level of appreciation from those who bought the game, go here: unless it's very cheap.Īnd it's even harder to recommend it for its online mode: which is plain broken (some people will deny this.but just go on Youtube and make up your own mind).Īll in all: this game is a very beautiful broken mess. So, it's hard to recommend that game for its solo mode. The VR mode is a thing to tryif you have a PSVR. but they are often wayyyyy too easy if you are a decent player. The IA is, as always with GT, absolutely atrocious. when I spent hundred of hours in the career mode in previous GTs. I found the solo mode so boring that I almost didn't play it. It really is an afterthought after the community backlash. Just a sum of races that offer no real sense of progression.and no cars to win. There is no career as they were back in the days. Oh, and of course the driving school is still in. I personally found the mission challenges to be quite fun actually. You get even more money if you pick a slow car too, to make it challenging. But there's a lot of races, and they do give you money. However, they don't give you cars like back in the day, and to me they felt kinda boring. This works like the single player in older GT games, where you got a whole bunch of cups with races, and you just race on them. Helps you learn the layout, braking points etc of a track. They're always short parts of the circuit, where you go and defeat a set time for either bronze, silver or gold. You get cars for finishing these.Įach track in the game has these, and the amount depends on the track length. They're pretty fun, but can get relatively tough at the end because the last ones will need you to manage fuel and tire wear. The base GT Sport game had two kinds of single player experiences:Ĩ stages with 8 races, these are basically races (and time trials i think) on specific courses and most of the time with specific cars and limitations.
